Shipping Policy
This Shipping Policy explains how Themodhome handles order processing, shipping, large-item delivery, delivery appointments, and delivery issues. Furniture can require more planning than small parcel items, so please review this page before placing an order.
Estimated Delivery Timeline
The timeline below gives a general estimate for orders shipping to eligible addresses in the United States.
Parcel Delivery (Small Package Items)
Order processing time: 3 to 7 business days
Transit time after shipment: 8 to 15 business days
Estimated total delivery time from order date: 11 to 22 business days
Freight, Curbside, or Threshold Delivery (Oversized Furniture Items)
Order processing time: 5 to 10 business days
International freight, customs clearance, local hub routing, and carrier appointment time after shipment: 25 to 45 business days
Estimated total delivery time from order date: 30 to 55 business days
Room-of-Choice or White Glove Delivery (Oversized Furniture Items With Scheduled In-Home Service)
Order processing time: 5 to 10 business days
International freight, customs clearance, local hub routing, and appointment scheduling after shipment: 30 to 50 business days

Made-to-Order, Pre-Order, or Backordered Items
Order processing and production or restock time: shown on the product page when available

These timeframes are estimates, not delivery guarantees. Some furniture items may require international fulfillment, customs clearance, transfer to a U.S. final-mile carrier, and a scheduled delivery appointment before the order reaches your address. Product pages, checkout, order confirmations, or carrier tracking may show a more specific delivery estimate for your order. If a product page or checkout shows a different delivery timeline, that product-specific timeline should be reviewed before purchase.
How We Classify Small Package and Oversized Furniture Deliveries
The delivery method is based on the packed item, not only the product name. We consider packed weight, packed dimensions, number of boxes, fragility, carrier requirements, delivery address, and whether the item needs a scheduled furniture carrier.
Small package or parcel delivery usually applies to items that can ship through a standard parcel carrier without a scheduled furniture delivery appointment. This may include smaller home decor, accessories, replacement parts, compact furniture pieces, or other items that fit within parcel carrier limits.
As a general carrier reference, UPS and FedEx parcel services commonly allow packages up to 150 lb, up to 108 inches on the longest side, and up to 165 inches in length plus girth. Carrier rules may vary by service, destination, and account. Themodhome may still ship an item by freight even if it is under those limits when the item is fragile, bulky, multi-box, difficult to handle, or more suitable for furniture delivery.
Oversized furniture or freight delivery usually applies to items that are too large, heavy, fragile, or bulky for standard parcel handling, or items that require a pallet, multiple cartons, scheduled delivery, two-person handling, curbside delivery, threshold delivery, room-of-choice delivery, or white glove delivery. Common examples include sofas, sectionals, beds, large dining tables, large cabinets, stone or marble pieces, oversized chairs, and multi-box furniture orders.
The final delivery method for an order will be based on the product page, checkout, carrier classification, and delivery address.
Order Processing
Orders are processed after payment is completed and order details are reviewed.
Most in-stock parcel orders begin processing within 3 to 7 business days. Most in-stock oversized furniture orders begin processing within 5 to 10 business days. Processing may take longer for oversized items, made-to-order items, pre-order items, backordered items, address verification, payment review, fraud review, carrier scheduling, customs documentation, or special handling.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding major U.S. holidays.
Shipping Destinations
Themodhome currently ships to eligible addresses in the United States.
Delivery availability may vary by product, item size, carrier coverage, and destination. Some remote areas, islands, military addresses, P.O. boxes, freight-restricted locations, and locations with limited carrier access may not be eligible for delivery.
If we cannot ship an order to the address provided, we will contact you using the email or phone number provided at checkout.
Shipping Methods
Shipping methods vary by product and destination. Your order may ship by parcel carrier or by a furniture freight carrier.
Depending on the item and carrier service available, delivery may be one of the following:
Parcel Delivery
Smaller items may ship by parcel carrier and be delivered to the address provided at checkout.
Curbside Delivery
Large items may be delivered to the curb, driveway, garage, loading area, or another accessible point near the delivery address. Curbside delivery does not usually include delivery inside the home, unpacking, assembly, placement, or packaging removal.
Threshold Delivery
Some items may be delivered across the first dry threshold of the home or building when the carrier service allows it. This service may not include room placement, stairs, unpacking, assembly, or packaging removal.
Room-of-Choice Delivery
When available and confirmed for an order, the carrier may place the item in an eligible room of choice. Service limits may apply based on stairs, elevators, hallways, building access, carrier safety rules, and item size.
White Glove Delivery
White glove delivery may be available for select products and eligible addresses. If offered, the service level and cost will be shown at checkout or confirmed by Themodhome in writing. Please review our White Glove Delivery Service page for details.
Delivery Appointments and Tracking
For parcel delivery, tracking information will be provided when available after the order ships.
For freight, room-of-choice, or white glove delivery, tracking may not update daily while the shipment is moving through international freight, customs clearance, or the carrier network. Once the order reaches the local delivery hub or final-mile carrier, the carrier may contact you to schedule a delivery appointment.
Estimated delivery windows depend on carrier routing and appointment availability. If you need delivery after a certain date because your home is not ready, contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. We will review the request, but not every hold or scheduling request can be accommodated.
Preparing for Large Furniture Delivery
Before ordering, please measure the full delivery path. This includes:
Doorways
Hallways
Stairways
Elevators
Entry gates
Building lobbies
Room entrances
Turns and corners
The final placement area
Customers are responsible for confirming that the item can be delivered safely through the delivery path. If an item cannot be delivered because of access limits, building restrictions, missed appointments, or inaccurate address information, additional carrier fees may apply.
Apartment, Condo, and Building Deliveries
If your delivery address is an apartment, condo, office, high-rise, or building with managed access, please confirm any delivery requirements before the appointment.
These may include elevator reservations, loading dock access, parking rules, front desk approval, delivery time restrictions, or certificate of insurance requirements.
If the carrier cannot complete delivery because building requirements were not arranged in advance, re-delivery, storage, or return freight fees may apply.
What Standard Delivery Does Not Include
Unless an upgraded service is purchased or confirmed in writing, standard delivery does not include:
Unpacking
Assembly
Installation
Wall mounting
Room placement
Packaging removal
Moving existing furniture
Disposal of old furniture
Hoisting through windows, balconies, or non-standard access points
Door, railing, wall, stair, or fixture removal
Delivery Inspection
Please inspect the packaging and item as soon as your order arrives.
If the packaging is damaged, please note the damage with the carrier when possible. For freight deliveries, this may mean noting damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing.
If the item appears damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing parts, contact us at support@themodhome.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Please include:
Order number
Photos of the shipping label
Photos of the outer packaging
Photos of any visible packaging damage
Photos of the item and affected area
A short description of the issue
Please keep the item and packaging until the issue has been reviewed. Do not discard packaging, parts, or damaged pieces before contacting us.
Incorrect Address, Missed Appointment, or Failed Delivery
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
Additional carrier charges may apply for address corrections, re-delivery, storage, refused delivery, missed delivery appointments, or returns caused by an incorrect address, inaccessible building, or delivery access issue.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges, if applicable, are shown at checkout before payment is completed.
Some products may require freight delivery or special handling. If a shipping issue prevents fulfillment, we will contact you before proceeding.
Order Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at support@themodhome.com.
Changes or cancellations may not be possible after an order has entered processing, been packed, shipped, transferred to a freight carrier, or scheduled for delivery.
Important Note for Google Merchant Center and Checkout Consistency
The shipping timeframes shown in this policy should match the shipping settings shown at checkout and in Google Merchant Center. If a product page, checkout page, or order confirmation shows a more specific estimate for a particular item, that estimate should be consistent with the item and delivery method selected.
